Dr. J. Geoffrey Murray

A native San Diegan, Dr. J. Geoffrey Murray graduated in 1968 with a B.S. degree in Zoology from SDSU, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Four years later he graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where he was president of his senior class, a member of the Honor Society and of Psi Omega Fraternity. The office has evolved physically over time but his philosophy of treating his patients like family in a safe, caring environment remains the same. Combining trust and communication with excellent dentistry is the cornerstone upon which he builds his practice. He enjoys practicing with the variety of high quality materials that dentistry’s recent advancements have made possible. He is committed to building the self-esteem and freedom that people feel when they have a healthy, beautiful smile. Married to wife, Cheryl, he loves to be active in his free time; working out, fishing, camping, gardening and spending time with his three children and six wonderful grandchildren.

Cheryl Murray

Cheryl Bourne Murray, a native San Diegan, began working at Dr. Murray’s dental practice in 1984, the year they married. Together with Dr. Murray, she coordinates the organization and outreach of the practice. She streamlines office procedures, promotes the practice and hires the best staff possible. With her love of people and a commitment to honoring them, she is integral to the concepts of service and excellence that Dr. Murray and his team strive for. In 2003, she went back to UCSD after a 29 year absence and graduated in 2005 with a degree in Cultural Anthropology. Family, friends, home, gardening, cooking, knitting and a love of all things spiritual keep her busy when not absorbed with the office. Blessed with three terrific children and six loving grandchildren, her life is rich and full.

Michelle and Robin are great partners and truly enjoy working with you. They draw upon their combined knowledge and experience to serve you. They greet you when you walk in, accommodate your schedule, answer questions, gather whatever information your unique dental needs may dictate, receive payment and take the time to help you feel special. They look forward to meeting you and your family and the opportunity to welcome you to “our family”.

Michelle began her dental career approximately 20 years ago and feels blessed to work with Dr. Murray and his team since 2000. She enjoys putting that special warm touch and extra care into all her interactions with you. On her down time, she enjoys spending time with her family and dear friends, live music, cooking, creating bar-b-q’ s and parties, playing tennis, reading, shopping, having lazy days at the beach and indulging in her passion to travel. Thanks to her parents, she was able to pick up German as a second language and enjoys speaking it when she can.

Robin joined our team in 2001. She combines genuine warmth and her great smile with the detailed business aspects of her job. Delivering team-concept patient care is her passion. She began her career 32 years ago as a dental assistant, giving her insight into the dental care you experience here. She comes from a family of nine siblings and has three beautiful grown sons who have blessed her with four grandchildren. In her time away from the office you might see her riding her bike, running, hiking, taking in a movie or walking the beach. Her favorite time spent is with her very big family.

We offer you a variety of dental services and our warm-hearted, hard working Registered Dental Assistants are well-versed in all of them, delivering state-of-the-art-dentistry alongside our doctors. They are here to put you at ease, answer any questions, offer comfort, and support the doctors through every aspect of your technical care.

Kim has been working in dentistry since 2000. She is passionate about dental health and loves helping our patients achieve gorgeous, healthy smiles. She received her Registered Dental Assistant training through a Regional Occupational Program in Auburn, CA. Her smile and generous patience help keep all of us peaceful. She and her husband relocated to Southern California 4 years ago after being stationed in Yuma, AZ during his U.S. Marine Corps service. They have three dogs and she loves spending time with her family and friends, hiking, going to the beach, shopping and going 4-wheeling with her husband.

Our Dental Hygienists

We have noticed that patients become pretty attached to “their” hygienist. And for good reason. Hygienists share in a special, intimate relationship with you and your mouth. During their time with you, they give your teeth and gums a superscrubbing. They passionately oversee the prevention of periodontal disease and oral cancers, offering whatever support they can for your home care. They work in partnership with the doctor on your behalf. The health and beauty of your smile is their highest priority!

Caring for patients truly comes naturally to Lisa. As skilled as she is kind, she takes great pride in providing her patients with gentle, thorough care with thoughtful focus on people's questions and concerns. She has worked in the field of dentistry for the last 8 years and has dual college degrees, graduating with a B.S. in 2000 and a B.S.in Dental Hygiene in 2006. A warm, welcome addition to our team, she loves the ocean, sailing, gardening, camping, working out, traveling, dancing and volunteering.

Nicolette comes to us from New York, graduating from Monroe Community College Dental Hygiene School in 2001. This versatile, knowledgeable, kind and
compassionate woman adds a warm sparkle to our team, helping us to give you the very best care possible. She moved to San Diego at the end of 2009 and is newly married. Her 16 year old son, Nikolas, is a precious part of her world. Nicolette loves her dog, riding horses, running, camping and going to the
beach.
